The Cancer
Sunday, 23 September 2012
You pursued me relentlesslyWouldn’t take no for an answer
In time I let you in
Not knowing you carried a cancer.
There’s a sweetness about you
That I can’t deny…
Your smile, that twinkle in your eyes.
But beneath there’s something else…
Your ugly little secret
You call it your fantasy
I call it vile.
How someone can
Reflect the Light
While casting a lusting eye
On the innocent?
I married you for life
But that doesn’t mean
I have to live in constant strife,
While you introduce this darkness
Into what was once
Our spirit of oneness.
You think you’re entitled to amuse yourself
With whatever brings you pleasure
Little lambs in your cross hairs.
Never mind that your actions bring me pain
Again and again.
When does it end?
When does the pain end?
I choose a life of Light and wholeness.
As hard as it may be,
Letting you go may be the key to my survival.
You’ve made your choice.
It’s time I rediscover my voice.
